In Transition (2024) exposes the process of personal metamorphosis towards another vital stage. This piece symbolizes the rebirth that arises from the ashes, the passage to a new configuration of the being. From an arduous, difficult process, I go through different stages and, eventually, I find myself again and another woman, which is also me and now constitutes me. The topic stems from a disconnection originating in the individual and the collective; in its own way, it confronts the imposition of biological time (as already happened in Parto). Accepting, or understanding, the radical and painful change of the body entails a destructive process of the past in order to turn it into something new. It is the metaphor of a pain that brings an unprecedented condition. I recover the ancestral language of whistling to express myself with greater accuracy and depth, I dialogue with something unnamed, and that defines me. The inner light can be an iteration of the vitality, the acceptance, and the change we foresee and do not know. The matter that covers my body preserves impressions of that experience. I have come out stronger; my energy is now more diaphanous. «Sol de la naturaleza, llama» (Nature's sun, calls). Like other chapters of my work, In Transition delves into the transitory stages of the being.
